About eLeMeNO-Pee

eLeMeNO-Pee is a Louisiana company that specializes in modern cloth diapers. We have representatives in the Lafayette and Baton Rouge areas that are ready to show you a fun, fashionable and easy-to-use alternative to disposable diapers.

Our Mission:

to educate families on the economical, environmental and health benefits of cloth diapering  and by doing so we hope to reverse the stigma currently associated with them

Why choose to buy your cloth with us?

We are moms just like you... and just like you we started our cloth diaper search on the internet. After hours of research, we decided the four reasons why buying cloth online is so overwhelming:

  1. There are too many cloth diapering websites
  2. There are too many diaper/accessory options
  3. There are too many differing opinions/suggestions on products
  4. There is no follow-up support beyond FAQ online

What makes eLeMeNO-Pee unique is that we have local representatives available to you to meet your needs. Our representatives are trained on all of the benefits of cloth diapering, as well as each individual product we sell. Each representative also receives extensive training on cloth diapering issues so that they can better serve their clients if/when they come across problems with their cloth.

Many of our representatives choose to work out of their home. This provides local moms with the opportunity to visit her eLeMeNO-Pee “store” to browse or simply ask questions. All of our representatives however are mobile, allowing local moms to host cloth diaper showings  in their own home, whether group or individual.

At eLeMeNO-Pee, we strive to be a resource to the natural-parenting community! As our mission states, it is most important to us that we educate families. Of course we want to educate families on the wonderful benefits of cloth diapering, but we also aspire to teach families about the benefits of natural parenting such as breastfeeding, babywearing, co-sleeping, natural birth, homeopathic care for babies, alternative healthcare treatments and much more. We hope that by choosing to give your cutie a cloth bootie,  the doors to a healthier lifestyle open for you the way they have opened for us. Please let our representatives know if we can help you at any point along the way.

Happy Diapering!

Although I had made the decision to cloth diaper five months into my first pregnancy, I was met with much resistance from friends and family who insisted I would hate them. As each month passed, I simply could not continue throwing away money on disposable diapers when I knew I had a better option. When my son was three months old I finally made my first purchase of three FuzziBunz perfect size diapers. I immeditaly fell in love with cloth!

Fastforward about nine months to the midst of the recession. When my husband was laid off suddenly I knew it was time for me to find a way to work from home. As our budget got tighter, I realized that cloth diapering was allowing us to spend the money we did have more wisely. I wanted to help others with babies struggling to get by.

I asked around and discovered a huge need in my community for this type of business/service. I jumped right in! I used the information I spent so much time researching to cloth diaper my own son and turned it into my very own business. I was 22 years old.

In addition to owning eLeMeNO-Pee, I am also a certified birth doula, a midwife apprentice and a breastfeeding advocate. All of my passions in life are connected through my cloth diaper business. I am thankful to be able to touch so many families lives.

When my son Mason stayed with a red, blistered, bleeding diaper rash that even prescription creams wouldn’t cure, Kira Smith suggested cloth diapering him. At first, I thought it would be too much work and wouldn’t make a difference with the rash. After doing my own research however I realized my family would save over $100 a month by switching to cloth. I decided I had nothing to lose but time. To my amazement after just twenty-four hours in cloth the rash was COMPLETELY GONE!

Just when it was time for me to go back to work, the opportunity knocked to work from home. I loved the idea of being able to work AND have my son with me. I also really loved being able to work with and connect with other work-at-home moms. Having a business management degree, I knew I could help Kira keep her young company on the right track. I decided to join eLeMeNO-Pee.

In addition to being a work-at-home mom, I enjoy working out, playing softball and spending time with my husband Clint and our son Mason. I recently discovered my newest passion for supporting breastfeeding mothers when I came across several special circumstances nursing my son. I have since become a La Leche League member and hope to soon become a Certified Lactation Consultant

Heather and Dot

For years now, I have tried making my life-decisions based on an awareness of how my decisions affect the environment, my health and my wallet.  In August of 2009, this conscious decision-making was even more the case when my beautiful baby girl, Dorothy Ann, was born.

During my pregnancy, I remember constantly being bombarded with comments from friends, family members and strangers alike as to how expensive babies are.  I couldn’t quite understand this until I started crunching the numbers for disposable-diapering a baby.  I knew from the moment that Kira Smith showed me the facts that I would cloth-diaper our little bundle of joy.  Sure, the health and environmental benefits made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, but I would be lying if I didn’t tell you that it was the saving $2000 - $3000 per child that committed me to my long-term relationship with cloth diapers.

At first we only cloth-diapered part-time.  I quickly fell in love with just how easy and convenient cloth-diapering was for us. I remember the last time we bought a package of disposable diapers…and the horrendous rash my daughter had on her hiney.  I cried at the sight of her raw bottom and swore off disposables.  With our limited budget, we bought as many Fuzzibunz diapers as we could afford and have been full-time cloth diapering ever since.

Months later, cloth-diapering has become an all-out addiction. Working with eLeMeNO-Pee gives me an incredible opportunity to help support my family by doing something that I truly believe in.  Really, it never feels like “work” because I enjoy what I do just that much!!

As a work-at-home mama, my “free-time” is quite limited.  I love my family and spend as much time with my honey, Craig, and our baby, Dorothy, as possible.  I enjoy cooking healthy meals for my family, photographing our adorable babe, meditating, hanging out with friends, attending baby playdates and—most importantly—being my authentic self.  Connected with lots of moms and dads in the Baton Rouge community, I am an avid supporter of good nutrition, breastfeeding, babywearing, cloth-diapering and attachment parenting.
